Latest Recording - Are You In?
Are You In? is a CD/EP with five original compositions inspired by our love of Jamaican Mento, Ska and Bluebeat.
Track one - The State I'm In. This is a Ska style song inspired by some of the early Jamaican vocal duo's such as The Blues Busters and Ewan and Jerry. Ricky and Deeko team up to deliver the vocals.

Track two - Jamaican Jive. This song is inspired by the Bluebeat groove, most famously heard on My Boy Lollipop, the huge hit for Millie Small. It tells of the rise of the Sound System and the pioneering operators - Tom 'The Great' Sebastian, Duke Reid and Sir Clement Coxsone Dodd.

Track Three - Doctor Gig. This is a Mento style song which celebrates the healing powers of live music and its ability to lift your spirits or take your mind off your illness.

Track Four - Contactless. This is a Ska instrumental inspired by the harmonica player Roy Richards who was featured on a number of early Ska recordings, one of which was called Contact. We have changed the main melody and altered the arrangement but acknowledge the source with our slight alteration on the title.

Track Five - Long Gone John. The origins of this song come from two sources. the Toots and the Maytals song Peeping Tom and one of Ricky's harmonica heroes Sonny Terry who recorded songs such as Lost John and Old Jabo.
The character in the song is one we have all met. Always bragging about things they've done and got away with. The style of the song evolved during the writing and rehearsing process and has ended up with somewhat of a Cajun feel. The song definitely took on a life of its own as it evolved.
